About
I’m a London-based freelance journalist working in podcasts and television.
I’ve worked with The Economist, Condé Nast (Vanity Fair, Bon Appétit, Vogue), ITV, ITN, Global Television, Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) and Host Broadcast Services (HBS). Before moving to the UK in 2014, I spent several years working for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in Vancouver and Saskatchewan and contributed to several programmes on CBC Radio and CBC Television.
I have produced podcast series for University of Oxford and Nesta. I have also produced documentaries for the Tate's podcast and contributed to NPR's All Things Considered and Snap Judgement. And briefly made a podcast looking at the history of condiments called Desert Island Dips.
I also teach folks about podcasting and audio editing and have prepared workshops for the University of Oxford, University of Bath and for authors at Pan Macmillan.
Aside from that, I am a pretty decent human being. I never back down from a food-based challenge* and I have mixed feelings about brunch. I mean, I love the menu but I can’t justify spending that much money on a rasher of bacon or a poached egg? I am not good at sports but I like to pretend that in Grade 7 I was good a badminton for a month. Despite this questionable fact, I have covered four Olympic games and some World Cups.
*Unless it involves shellfish. I am allergic to shellfish.
